TakeCare Supply Achieves New Milestone in Effort to Protect Canadians from COVID-19
Toronto, ON (Friday May 29th, 2020) - As a rapid response to the mask shortage and economic hardships brought on by COVID-19, TakeCare Supply has achieved a new milestone of successfully selling over 250,000 made-in-Canada, evidence-based reusable masks in just 7 weeks.
TakeCare Supply provides masks designed and made in Ontario. From start to finish, TakeCare Supply is helping to protect Canadians and support the economy during the greatest global health crisis in a century with the most Canadian supply chain of any mask company on the market.
“When we began TakeCare Supply, we had no idea how it would pan out, but we knew it was an important mission to undertake. In less than 2 months, we have sold 250,000 masks to those in need. And we couldn’t have done it without over 150 Canadians who have been helping us along the way. This team is the embodiment of what Canadians do during a crisis, and we couldn’t be more proud.” - Larry Lau, Co-Founder of TakeCare Supply.
On Friday, May 29th, Toronto Mayor John Tory visited TakeCare Supply to see their operation and celebrate this milestone.
“TakeCare Supply is a great example of a successful homegrown Toronto business that is helping out the community during these challenging times. I want to congratulate TakeCare Supply on achieving this milestone of creating and distributing 250,000 masks across North America. As residents follow public health advice to wear face coverings to help stop the spread of COVID-19, I encourage people to do what they can to support our local businesses who are employing residents and contributing to our economy.” - Mayor John Tory
In order to best serve frontline heroes, TakeCare Supply took steps early on to prioritize orders for those who need them most. TakeCare Supply is now looking for new ways to support the local community with their masks.
“As society reopens, it’s critical that we stay vigilant and take precautions to ensure we stay safe. This is especially the case with frontline agencies. As these important institutions reopen, we want to equip them with masks so they can get back to serving their constituents as safely as possible. That’s why we are seeking local agencies who could benefit from a donation of TakeCare masks.” - Kevin Vuong, Co-Founder of TakeCare Supply.
